We found what we were not expecting to find. For me, it was Josephine by Rance, the fragrance made for the Empress at her request, and Napoleon's. A fragrance each for the two of them and hers? Subtle enough on the skin so that she wouldn't smell it all day but strong enough so that as she left the room everyone would know that she'd been there. And the romantic will identify with Napoleon who wanted his to be strong (he called it 'Le Vainqueur', after all) but for it also to be overcome by hers when he and Josephine were together.
